SEMINAR OBJECTIVES |
| This seminar will review Fosshage's
metapsychology of dreams, a self psychological model of dream
interpretation. Dr. Wagner will present Fosshage's dream
interpretation methodology and will also present his own method of
interpreting dreams. Dr. Wagner's presentation will focus on the
integrating function of dreams, and participants will gain practice in
understanding the importance of the figure of the dreamer in any given
dream. Undisguised transference dreams will be discussed as
ready-made opportunities for interpretation and benchmarks in the
therapeutic hour. Dr. Wagner will demonstrate his work on specimen
dreams provided from case materials. |
| |
|
SEMINAR GOALS |
| At the conclusion of this seminar,
attendees will be able to: |
- Understand the importance of the dreamer in the dream.
- Understand the importance of the integrating function of dreams.
- Understand the importance of undisguised transference dreams in
